Of course, there have been ups and downs. Many forum sections have come and gone, but through the years SF-Fandom has always been there for people who want to talk about their favorite SF topics in safe, non-toxic discussion groups.
We've lost a few people along the way, including Dixie Harrison - co-founder of SF-Fandom - and Paul Goode, an amazing Andre Norton fan who always had kind words for everyone.
The forums have moved a few times, always when we changed software. The last time we moved the forums was in 2019. You can now browse our forums at forums.sf-fandom.com. We created a dedicated subdomain for several reasons, but mainly because I felt it would be less confusing than moving the forums to another sub-folder.
The old blog was buried behind a static front page, but that wasn't very useful. Some of the old blog posts were still interesting and popular, but now became hard to find.
I knew I wanted to redesign the home page and blog for our 20th anniversary. I finally made time for that a few weeks ago, and I think it looks pretty good. I hope you do, too.
The old blog articles were moved to another subdomain, old-blog.sf-fandom.com and I hope to give that section a new look, too. One of the more popular articles on the old blog, Why Aliens Might Want to Invade Earth, is still doing well. Maybe one day we'll revise it or write a new article about the same topic on the new blog.

Science fiction and fantasy fan blogs and forums have been overshadowed by social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. But, let's face it, you're like likely to see your timelines flooded with political news and angry rants.
And both Facebook and Twitter have awful moderation policies. No one is happy with either platform.
We're calling old friends to come back home to SF-Fandom, and inviting new friends to check it out. We still enjoy discussing our favorite topics.
SF-Fandom is home to the oldest Web forums for fans of Andre Norton and J.R.R. Tolkien, but we have so much more to offer.
You can register for free. You can read the new blog, old blog, and forums for free even without registration. We'll never have a paywall.
And here is looking forward to another great 20 years of science fiction and fantasy fans building a community together.
