Laura Ventura, who is credited by most people with leading the fan movement to bring back
Legend of the Seeker, the syndicated TV show that was based on
Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth novels, was a guest on
Episode 3 of Assembly of Geeks, talking about efforts to revive the show, which was cancelled in 2010 after its major American distributor -- the Tribune Company -- went into bankruptcy and pulled the show from its schedule.
Fans have remained active and passionate through the past three years and thanks to a
recent initiative by SMGO.TV there will soon be a meeting between Disney, the producers of the show, and other people to see if the show can be revived. Laura shares her insights into what fans can do starting around 17 minutes and 45 seconds into the podcast.
Legend of the Seeker fans are a dedicated group of people around the world who want to see this great show revived.
