Let me set aside the science fiction discussion once again to talk a little bit about my day job.
I'm the Director of Search Strategies for Visible Technologies, Inc., a social media company based in Bellevue, WA.
This week Visible Technologies formally launched its TruReputation and TruReputation Score Web sites.
TruReputation is a suite of services built around search engine reputation management, internet brand marketing, and social media landscape management. My team has been managing search reputation campaigns for clients for the past several years. We've learned in that time that many companies and individuals have different needs when it comes to managing their search visibility.
Some corporations turn to search reputation management to help protect and promote product brands. Other businesses may find reputations in tatters over issues they have resolved but the search engines continue to show years-old and irrelevant stories for their name spaces.
And as many people are learning, some Web sites prey upon the business community by posing false allegations (or allowing their users to post false allegations) about the companies. Conveniently, for a "fee" false allegations can be managed by the site owners.
TruReputation expands the online reputation industry's options by offering different venues or channels custom-tailored to elite individuals and organizations as well as services and tools that are within the reach of the average person.
You can even check your own search reputation score for free through TruReputationScore.com. We have developed a metric and methodology for evaluating the impact of negative Web content in search results that we feel is unmatched by anything else in the online reputation management industry.
So, there will be plenty of media attention this week. I invite you to visit the TruReputation.com Web site and the TruReputation Score site to learn more about online reputation management and why it's important for businesses, political leaders, and even many other people.
And if you think that's all we've got to offer, think again. There are other concepts in development that I'm looking forward to seeing roll out.
Disclaimer: I wrote this post of my own volition without any incentive or review from Visible Technologies, Inc. But I am an employee of the company and directly involved in delivering the TruReputation services.
